Does your child have COVID-19 symptoms

If your child develops Covid-19 symptoms, you should stay home, if they are alert and feeding well, and monitor their symptoms.

Call Healthline on 0800 611 116 or your GP if your child is getting more unwell or not improving after several days.

Please keep our hospital emergency departments for emergencies but you can take your child to the hospital if:

  • they are having difficulty breathing (fast or noisy)
  • they refuse fluids or are unable to keep fluids down
  • they are listless, lethargic or floppy or
  • they look very unwell to you.
